Toyota has always used its popular Prius model to show off some of its coolest features. The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime breaks the mold, again, with several impressive features. The size could also make it safer to use. Instead of having to look closely at a small screen, you'll be able to quickly glance at the tablet to see what button to push. The less time you spend looking at the touchscreen, the less likely you are to have an accident. Remarkable Efficiency The 2016 Toyota Prius gets 52 combined mpg (54 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway). According to Toyota, the 2017 Prius Prime will get a whopping 120 mpg, making it one of the most efficient vehicles on the road. With a full tank and battery charge, you'll be able to travel more than 600 miles in the Prius Prime without stopping. Climate Control Won't Drain Your Battery Cold winters in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, force you to turn on your car's heater. Unfortunately, most climate control systems use a lot of power, which limits how far you can drive before relying on a hybrid's gas engine. Many hybrid owners say that climate control quickly drains their batteries. Toyota has eliminated this issue by building a vapor-injected heat pump that uses very little energy. With so much energy surrounding each game, you'll probably want to do something before and after the event. You might as well have a good time while your spirits are high. The next time you're lucky enough to catch the Eagles in Philadelphia, enjoy these three things to do before and after the game. Have a Great Meal Near Lincoln Financial Field Getting a meal before or after your next Eagles game will spare you the expense of eating inside the stadium. Luckily, you'll find several good restaurants within walking distance. Some favorites include Philadium Tavern, Tony Luke's, and Chickie's & Pete's. Philadium Tavern serves one of Philadelphia's best cheesesteaks. You can also enjoy wings, hoagies, and other pub fare. At Tony Luke's, you'll find several versions of cheesesteak in addition to the traditional sandwich. For example, you can get a chicken cheesesteak. The roast pork sandwich also stands out as one of the best items on the menu. Chickie's & Pete's gets excellent reviews from practically everyone who visits. The sports bar even won an award from ESPN Mobile. If you eat here, you have to try the crab fries. They're unlike anything you've ever tasted. more Go Out for a Drink Grabbing a few beers after an Eagles game is a Philadelphia tradition. If you're not ready to head home as soon as the Eagles win, get a drink at Tavern on Broad, South Philadelphia Tap Room, or McFadden's Ballpark. Each bar has game-day specials to keep prices low. They also have several televisions so you can watch the post-game show. If you love having access to a large variety of beers, then you'll want to spend a few hours at South Philadelphia Tap Room. The owners rotate taps often, and in addition, the bar offers more than 100 international beers. All three of these bars sell food, so you can get a bite to soak up any excess alcohol. Visit Center City While there are some good bars and restaurants near Lincoln Financial Field, you can find a greater concentration of them in nearby Center City. You can find retail stores, museums, and cultural activities there, too. Use the Visit Philadelphia site to find fun things to do before or after your next Eagles game. Catching a cab to Center City is an especially good idea if you don't visit the downtown area often. You're already near the neighborhood, so you might as well pop in to enjoy some of your favorite attractions. An Eagles game can get your blood pumping! It will take some time for the adrenaline to wear off. While you're in a great mood, go out on the town and visit places that you rarely see. Living in the Northern Hemisphere often means frigid winters, snow, sleet, and ice, which is not ideal for motor vehicles. There's the misery of waking up to a car covered in ice and snow and the grit, grime, and debris that finds its way both inside and outside of the car. Prepare BEFORE Winter The best time to start winterizing your car is during fall. Start waxing your car before winter strikes. Wax is a good way to protect the paintwork, as it helps water, ice, and snow slide off easily. A good way to check if your car is waxed well enough is to see if water "beads up" when washing the car. The best option in paint protection is a good-quality paint sealant. There are some excellent sealants out there that will protect your car for four to six months. more Wash Your Car Frequently Nobody is jumping up and down for joy at the thought of braving the freezing cold outside to wash their car. But did you know that washing your car is more important during winter than any other time of the year? That's because of what we mentioned earlier — salt. Salt is bad news for the metal of cars, as it leads to rust that not only looks ugly but will also lower the value of your car. Driving on salted roads means you will get some of it sticking to your car. This is the reason keeping your car clean during winter, especially the undercarriage which picks up most of the salt, will help protect it. Use Rubber Car Mats This is one of the simplest tips to implement. All that snow and slush on your boots ends up in your car. It melts, leaving puddles of water that soak into material car mats and also seep down to the floor of the car. Again, this is a surefire way to end up with corroded floors. A rubber mat catches the water better and dries a lot faster than a material mat. Parking Inside or Outside — Which Is Best? This is debatable. You may think that parking inside is best. After all, parking in a garage keeps your car cleaner for longer, and there's no hassle of scraping off ice and snow every time you head out. On the flip side, many experts say that when all that salty snow and ice melts, it creates the ideal environment for salt to eat at your car. Parking it outside keeps the ice and snow frozen, which actually slows down the corrosion. The alternative is to buy a good-quality car cover, which means you can park it outside and help protect it from the elements. Of course, if you really want to avoid car hassles during winter, don't drive it. But as this is a car and not a bear, it's highly unlikely your car will hibernate during winter. Toyota Giving Program Mission The purpose of the Toyota Giving Program is to support organizations that are dedicated to improving the environment, education efforts and opportunities, and vehicle safety initiatives. It is also dedicating special attention and resources to underserved populations and diverse communities. The program makes major contributions during natural disasters and is passionate about helping organizations reach those in need. more How It Works The Toyota Giving Program offers grants to organizations that apply for assistance. Organizations can apply for grants if they are eligible. Because the program wants to ensure that the funds are being used for positive, nonprofit efforts, certain groups are ineligible, including lobbying groups, publications, advertising companies, capital campaigns, and endowments. Rather, the Toyota Giving Program grants funds to charitable organizations that serve the entire community regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, veteran status, or political affiliation. In all, the program is dedicated to helping better the world for everyone. Making a Difference Over the past few years, the Toyota Giving Program has helped many organizations around the country. For example, in April 2014, the program partnered with Hiring Our Heroes, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation that works to help veterans, military spouses, and transitioning military personnel find employment opportunities in their communities. Together the groups put on the Stagecoach Country Music Festival and helped raise awareness and funds for Hiring Our Heroes. In July 2015 and July 2016, the Toyota Giving Program partnered with VH1 Save the Music to host Lollapalooza in Grant Park, Chicago. The music festival raised money to help protect music instruction in schools and ensure that children receive all the wonderful benefits of music education. The Toyota Giving Program encouraged people to begin a dialogue on social media about the importance of music. In 2015, the program donated $1 to the VH1 Save the Music education program for every social post with the hashtag #ToyotaGiving. In 2016, the Toyota Giving Program and VH1 Save the Music donated $30,000 to a public school in need of saving its music education department. The program continues to help promote environmental consciousness and safety, education, and vehicle safety by partnering with and donating to numerous causes around the country. With so many innovative safety features available in newer cars, you may not realize that there is one crucial system in every vehicle that keeps you and your passengers safe. The brakes allow you to slow down and stop, so if any part of the braking system isn't in good condition, you put yourself at serious risk. Watch for these warning signs that will let you know when it's time to replace your brakes. Listen for Strange Sounds One of the first indicators that your brakes are going out is a squeaking or grinding sound. This means that the metal shim, also referred to as the indicator, is emitting the audible warning that the brake pads are wearing thin. The pad should be at least ¼-inch in thickness to properly allow your vehicle to stop. more One thing to consider is that if you have recently parked your car outside during a rainstorm or other onslaught of water, the moisture can cause the brake pads to squeak for a few stops until the top layer of rust has worn off. If the squeaking or grinding sound stops after you have been driving for several minutes, your brake pads are probably fine. Vibration When you apply the brakes, your car should ease to a stop smoothly. If the steering wheel vibrates when you brake, it's crucial to take your car in for an inspection. If the rotors are worn down, which is typically a result of continuing to drive on worn out brake pads, this problem causes excessive vibration. You might notice that it feels similar to how the vehicle feels when you have to stop very suddenly in a car that has antilock brakes. A mechanic can grind down the rotors in your vehicle to create a smooth surface again and replace the brake pads to protect them from further damage. Pulling to One Side When your car pulls either to the right or left when you're driving in a straight line, this is also a possible indicator of a problem with your brakes. It could also mean that you need your alignment repaired, but if that doesn't fix the issue, have a mechanic check out the brakes. The linings of your brakes might be wearing unevenly due to damage internally, or you could have some type of foreign object lodged within the reservoir of brake fluid. Your mechanic can make an adjustment to the brakes so they'll wear evenly, if that's the problem, or drain and replace the brake fluid. Decreased Pedal Response When you press on the brake pedal, it should immediately engage the system and stop your car. If the pedal feels spongy or slow to respond, take the car in for repair immediately. You could have air in the brake lines that decreases the system's ability to safely stop your car. This can also signal a low supply of brake fluid. No matter what the problem is that is causing one of these signals, you should never keep driving a car that is having brake problems. One of the coolest tech features available in the 2017 Camry SE is Toyota's infotainment system, Entune. This integrated telematics and multimedia system includes information like sports scores, fuel prices, stocks, weather, and traffic, along with the ability to sync with your smartphone to play your favorite tunes or podcasts. Entune also includes integrated apps for music, including iHeartRadio, XM satellite radio, and Pandora. Step One: Check Compatibility and Create Your Account(s) Entune works with most Android and BlackBerry smartphones, as well as most models of the iPhone. Before you sync your device, check out the Entune website to make sure it's compatible. The list is always increasing since Toyota developers add new devices to it regularly. Once you confirm that your phone works with the software, go to the app store that you use and download the Entune app. It's free but you will need to sign in using the email address and password you used to set your Entune account. (You can easily create a new account at the Entune website.) If you plan to use the integrated apps like MovieTickets.com, Pandora, and OpenTable, create free accounts on these websites as well. Once you have each account set up, link it through your Entune account. more Step Two: Pair Your Device When you have created and linked your account(s) for Entune and any additional apps you'd like to use, get your phone and turn on Bluetooth. The system syncs to your device through Bluetooth so it must be turned on at all times when you're in your car and using Entune. Start by touching the setup button on the screen in your Camry, then press Bluetooth, and then touch "Add." You can add your device through this screen, but for safety, make sure to only attempt this when your car is parked. After you have added it through the touchscreen display, you'll have to choose the Toyota Vehicle option on the list of Bluetooth connections on your phone. Some devices require the entry of a PIN for security, but the system guides you through that if necessary. Give it a few minutes to complete the connection, and then your phone will be synced with your Camry. Step Three: Use the Features Entune has a lot of cool features that drivers and passengers love. You can check fuel costs to make sure you're filling up at the lowest-priced station in your area. When you pair your device, Entune will also pull in your contacts and call history so it's easy to make and receive telephone calls safely. Voice-activated technology also allows you to command the system to do specific tasks, like make a phone call, without taking your hands or eyes off the road. If you have any trouble connecting your device with the Entune system in your 2017 Toyota Camry SE, review the resources available on Toyota's website for assistance. You can also take it into a dealership for help if you just can't get it to work. Once your phone is up and running with Entune, you'll be able to take advantage of all it has to offer.

It's open on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. (except Monday, when it's closed), Fridays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from noon to 1 a.m., and Sundays from noon-11 p.m. more Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse has been a favorite spot among locals and visitors for over a century. It's designed for kids under age 10 with opportunities for unstructured and creative play. With more than 16,000 square feet of space, you'll find sloping hills, areas of wooded terrain, and plenty of wide open fields for playing and running. Playgrounds and equipment are open to children for active and stimulating play. It's free to enter this spot and open to all children who fit within the age guidelines. On Tuesday-Friday it's open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday it's open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. It's closed Mondays and weekdays between October and April. Ardmore Farmer's Market Held at Suburban Square, the Ardmore Farmer's Market is a top attraction for those who live in the area as well as visitors coming from out of town. On weekdays you can shop from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Sundays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Vendors come from around the state to bring fresh flowers, produce, cheese, meats, and tasty treats. If you live in the area, walk through the open-air market during your lunch break to pick up a fresh and delicious meal. Visitors will love sampling local favorites like seared sliced tuna, rambutan (a tropical fruit from Indonesia and Southeast Asia), and spicy freshly grown peppers. Ardmore Music Hall This live music venue attracts entertainers from a variety of genres. Its close proximity to Philadelphia makes it easy for groups and artists to get in and out of the city, but the intimate atmosphere gives a unique feel. Some of the past performers include Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Ramones. The box office is open Tuesday-Friday from noon to 5 p.m. All shows are for guests age 21 and over, although minors can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Instead of sticking around Ardmore this weekend, pack a suitcase and take a day trip to one of these fun destinations. Crystal Springs Resort Located in Hamburg, New Jersey, the Crystal Springs Resort is the perfect spot for a romantic couple's retreat. Here you can find a dozen different restaurants within walking distance, six golf courses, and two spas that offer relaxing treatments for your skin. The Grand Cascades Lodge is within the Crystal Springs Resort and houses a world-class restaurant with its own wine cellar. Be sure to take a dip in the Biosphere, an indoor, heated, and tropical-themed pool complex that includes a Jacuzzi. Even during the winter you can catch some rays because the complex allows sunlight in throughout the year. Get there in about 2 ½ hours from Ardmore. more Phoenixville Any resident of Ardmore who identifies with the hippie or hipster cultures will enjoy spending some time in Phoenixville. This city is about a half-hour drive from Ardmore but has an entirely different feel from other nearby cities. It's very laid-back and charming with streets lined with shops that you can stroll along to pick up souvenirs and other goodies. Phoenixville is also home to several wineries so you can sample local flavors in the tasting rooms. If you try a kind of wine that you just can't live without, pick up a bottle or two to take home. After you finish your wine tasting experience, head back to town to catch a live music show or indie film in one of the local theaters. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee and a freshly-made pastry at Artisans Gallery. Lewes, Delaware Road trippers who are after a relaxing and quaint beach vacation should head southeast to Lewes, Delaware. A few years ago, a local brewer bought the local inn and transformed it into an oasis for beer lovers who want to vacation with their dogs. When you stay at the Dogfish Inn, be sure to head to the campfire each night for s'mores and adult beverages. You can also wade at Lewes Beach, an area protected by the bay so it's perfect for kids and dogs. Kayaking, hiking, and biking are favorite activities of visitors. The trip takes about two hours. Brandywine Creek State Park If you're seeking a summertime getaway, check out Brandywine Creek State Park. Here you can take a tube down the creek and cool off during the hot months of June, July, and August. It's in Wilmington, Delaware, which is less than an hour from Ardmore. Bring your fishing gear and hiking boots since opportunities for both activities are plentiful. The park also has picnic tables so pack a lunch and enjoy a relaxing day within nature. Now in its fourth generation, the newly redesigned Prius boasts a new look and the latest version of all the features that this hybrid vehicle has come to be known for. The 2016 Prius' environmental consciousness and fuel economy, estimated at 54 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway, are just some of the centerpieces of the Future Forward series. more Where Did the Event Series Happen? Toyota's Future Forward program took place throughout June. On June 4, the series kicked off with a major event at New York's Industria Superstudio. Future Forward headed west to Chicago on June 18, where it set up shop at the Revel Space in buzzing Fulton Market. The event series finally landed in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 25. On the West Coast, the Future Forward movement made an appearance at NeueHouse Hollywood, where auto enthusiasts, creatives, and art aficionados gathered together for a digital program. Which Artists Participated in the Program? Altogether, the Future Forward program included three vastly different artists and studios. Artists Noemi Schipfer and Takami Nakamoto, better known as Nonotak, contributed their illustration and musical talents. Artist Doris Sung explored architectural projects, and studio VT Pro Design added some design to the mix. What Artwork Did the Future Forward Series Produce? Each artist and studio produced unique artwork and design for the Future Forward series. Doris Sung created a kinetic chandelier titled "Drift," which altered shape and size according to the temperature. Constructed from over 1,000 pieces of heat-reactive metal pieces, this large hanging sculpture continually reflected its environment. VT Pro Design used its design skills to develop a kinetic wall installation called "Reach," which invited visitors to interact with nature and technology. Nonotak produced a stunning infinity room titled "Hoshi," which explored immersive light and sound. Once inside the installation, participants experienced a roller coaster of spatial and musical effects. With a numerous creative projects and a series of events across the nation, Toyota's Future Forward movement made waves in the automotive and artistic worlds. By forging a partnership between the all-new Prius and The Creators Project, the Future Forward program supports artists' creative efforts and encourages drivers to engage with the hybrid vehicle in a whole new way.
