On Friday September 21 st, 2012, Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota & Central City Toyota sponsored the Magee Rehabilitation Jerry Segal Classic Golf Outing. The event took place at the Ace Golf Club & Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, PA. The event included a Golf Outing and gave all participants the opportunity to hit a Hole in One and win $10,000 from Ardmore Toyota. The Golf Tournament was followed by a Dinner Event and Auction giveaway where proceeds went to the patients Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. The mission of Magee Rehabilitation is to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities by providing high quality physical and cognitive rehabilitation services. On Sunday October 7 th, 2012, Ardmore Toyota will be hosting an event that will support Living Beyond Breast Cancer. The Event, called “Get Fit with Focus Fitness & Ardmore Toyota“ will take place at 10:30am at Ardmore Toyota and will be a Yoga Class. All proceeds from the Yoga Class will go to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. At 11:30am, there will be refreshments served immediately after the Yoga Class. In addition, Ardmore Toyota will be making a donation to Living Beyond Breast Cancer based on the amount of customers that come in to test drive a vehicle or service a vehicle on both Saturday October 6 th & Saturday October 13 th. On Thursday September 20 th, 2012, Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota & Central City Toyota hosted a Toyota New Owner Clinic. Over 60 guests attended who were recent new owners of a Toyota they purchased or Leased at Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota. Guests enjoyed a fully catered dinner by Hymie’s Delicatessen and had the opportunity to meet both Roy Cassidy & Jamie Haberle, Service Directors of Ardmore Toyota & Central City Toyota. Customers have two convenient locations to service their new Toyota models within the Max Paul family of Dealerships, and this Clinic gave customers the chance to meet the technicians at both locations and learn more about maintenance and usage of their Toyota vehicle. On Wednesday September 12th, 2912 in Washington, DC at a Safety Research Forum , Toyota announced that it has teamed up with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) to conduct a major new study of 5,600 teens and adults. Results of the Teen Driver Distraction Study commissioned by the Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) in July 2012 will be released incrementally as data is analyzed.   The study will examine teen attitudes toward frequently discussed risks, such as texting and driving, to help identify effective recommendations to keep teen drivers safe. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) announced today that the Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck is slated to tow the space shuttle Endeavour during its final journey to the California Science Center on October 13, 2012, where it will go on permanent display. The Endeavour will travel a total of 12 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on city streets to the Science Center, with the Tundra towing the last quarter mile.   There is no larger or more recognizable icon of the U.S. space program’s success than the shuttle, and to have it towed by the Toyota Tundra is not only an incredible example of the capabilities of the truck, but an honor to be part of history,” said Ed Laukes, TMS vice president of marketing communications. “The entire journey is something the world will be watching, and gives us a chance to prove that the ‘overbuilt’ Tundra is built to do any job – even tow the space shuttle.” Click Here for the Full Story

On September 6 th, 2012, new Billboards went up in University City / West Philadelphia publicizing the grand re-opening of the all new Central City Toyota. Known now as Toyota Certified at Central City, the facility is in the final phases of a complete redesign. Once complete, the new state of the art Toyota facility will offer customers from the city and surrounding suburbs some of the most modern and advanced technology for servicing Toyota’s, Lexus, Scion and all other makes and models. The facility will also have some fabulous new amenities for customers while in the showroom and service & parts wait area. On Wednesday September 5 th, Ardmore Toyota had a special visit from a class of 12 future Toyota Engineers from Japan. The 12 students are currently enrolled in a unique program at the University of Penn where they are learning about the American Culture and Language. These Engineering students were sent over to UPenn by Toyota Motor Sales Japan to learn our culture. They will be returning to Japan in the next 3 weeks where they will continue their studies with Toyota to become future executives and engineers of Toyota Motor Sales. We were fortunate to have them meet with our VP of Marketing, Ryan Pesin and tour the facility as guests for the afternoon at Ardmore Toyota where they spent time learning about an American Toyota Dealership and the processes that are in place that make Ardmore Toyota successful. They were able to ask some of our technicians, parts associates, and salespeople some wonderful questions that they will take back to Japan and use in their future studies.

The 2013 Scion FR-S rear-wheel-drive sports car has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s “Top Safety Pick” rating, bringing the company’s total of IIHS Top Safety Picks awards to 18, the most of any manufacturer in the industry. FR-S comes standard with six airbags, including dual-stage advanced driver- and front-passenger airbags, front-seat-mounted airbags and side-curtain airbags.  Like all Scions, the FR-S features the Star Safety System that includes Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Brake Assist (BA), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Smart Stop Technology (SST). In its effort to determine crashworthiness — how well a vehicle protects its occupants in a crash — the Institute rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in high-speed front and side crash tests, a rollover test, plus evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts.  Top Safety Picks must have good ratings in all four tests.
