For the second straight year, Toyota is the No. 1-ranked manufacturer on the annual CarMD® Vehicle Health Index™. The Toyota and Lexus brands accounted for three of the top 10 and 18 of the top 100 vehicles (16 Toyota and two Lexus vehicles).
The 2010 Toyota Corolla was the top ranked vehicle in the index, with the lowest combined repair incidents and lowest average repair costs per number of registered vehicles. Others in the top 25 were the 2008 Toyota Yaris (2nd), 2007 Lexus ES 350 (7th), 2009 Toyota Camry (13th), 2007 Toyota 4Runner (18th) and 2009 Toyota Matrix (25th).
The data for the 2012 index’s Manufacturer & Vehicle Reliability Rankings was procured from CarMD’s network of thousands of certified automotive technicians and database of more than 3 million verified repairs. The November 2012 Index statistically analyzes repairs that apply to roughly 136 million model year 2002 to 2012 vehicles, taking place in the U.S. from Sept. 1, 2011 through Sept. 1, 2012. In determining the top 10 manufacturers, CarMD included those whose makes and models account for at least 1 percent of the U.S. vehicle population according to R.L. Polk data, and 1 percent of CarMD’s data.

Delaware County Vietnam Veterans of America Parade
On Monday November 12th, 2012, Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota participated in the Veterans Day Parade in Media, PA. During the ceremony & parade, the Chapter 67 Delaware County Vietnam Veterans of America Honor Guard fired a 21 gun salute to honor all American Veterans. Ardmore Toyota was proud to be part of this event with our customer and Veteran Jeffrey Dorfman. We are honored to support Jeffery and the Delaware County Vietnam Veterans of America.
On Thursday November 8th, 2012, Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota hosted the Taste of Ardmore event for the 4th year. The event celebrates some of the excellent food and fashion that is part of the Ardmore Community.
6ABC, CBS3, Main Line Times & Ardmore Patch were some of the media outlets on hand at Ardmore Toyota to cover this wonderful event. The event is put together by the Ardmore Initiative which is the Ardmore Business coalition. The proceeds from this fundraiser support the local Ardmore businesses in the community.
Restaurants that participated in Taste of Ardmore included Gillane’s Bar & Grille, Firinji, Ardmore Station Café, Plate, Kotatsu, MilkBoy Coffee, Primavera Pizza Kitchen, A Taste of Olive, McShea’s, McCloskeys, Main Line Wine Events, Tired Hands Brew Company, Golden bowl and Barbacoa. Some of the shops whose fashion was recognized during the evening included Hassry’s Treasures, Human Zoom Bikes, Giannini Jewelers, Lucky Girl, and more.

On November 5th, 2012, Ryan Pesin, VP of Marketing for Ardmore & Central City Toyota, presented a check for $500 to Jenna Jackson, of Living Beyond Breast Cancer (http://www.lbbc.org/).
Their mission is as follows: “Living Beyond Breast Cancer empowers all women affected by Brest Cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life.”

Toyota today announced a $1 million contribution to the American Red Cross and other nonprofit organizations to support relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy in the regions worst-hit by the storm. In addition, Toyota will match employee contributions to the American Red Cross and other non-profits doing relief and recovery work in affected communities.
Beginning Nov. 1, Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and Lexus Financial Services (LFS) will launch a “Customer Outreach” calling campaign to lease and retail customers who are delinquent, or become delinquent, due to circumstances related to the storm and who reside in the 13 states directly impacted by the hurricane (CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, VT and WV) and in the District of Columbia.

The Scion FR-S earned industry recognition on October 30th, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada with the Hottest Sport Compact award on the first day of the 2012 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

Toyota celebrated the 25 millionth vehicle manufactured in North America today at a ceremony at its Georgetown, Ky., plant coinciding with the start of production for the all-new 2013 Avalon. The milestone vehicle – a Classic Silver Hybrid Avalon – represents 26 years of manufacturing, a direct investment of nearly $24 billion in North American operations and 365,000 jobs created in the United States.
Speaking at a line-off ceremony in Georgetown today, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky President Wil James said, “This is a pivotal time in Toyota’s history. What better way to cap off 26 years of manufacturing excellence than with the all-new Kentucky-assembled Avalon, a shining example of what our customers have to look forward to in the future.”
The 2013 Toyota Venza has received the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) highest rating for frontal, side and rollover crash tests. Venza received five stars after NHTSA tested both the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. Also called the New Car Assessment Program, NHTSA created the 5-Star Safety Ratings System to provide consumers with information about its evaluation of the crash protection and rollover safety of new vehicles.
Scion, Toyota and Lexus Sweep All Top Spots in Consumer Reports Annual Reliability Study
The Detroit Free Press is reporting Toyota’s three brands – Scion, Toyota and Lexus – swept the three top spots in Consumer Reports’ annual reliability survey, which analyzes subscribers’ experiences with 1.2 million new vehicles to predict future reliability. Of the 27 models in the brand’s lineup, 16 earned the highest rating. The subcompact Toyota Prius C received the top score overall. “We are basically just taking data that the consumers and subscribers are providing to us,” said Jake Fisher of Consumer Reports Magazine.
