Ardmore Toyota is pleased to announce that it donated 72 brand-new winter coats in 2015 to the Driving Away the Cold program. The coats our dealership donated will be distributed by Ardmore Community Center to underprivileged children living in the five-county region of Philadelphia.

We are proud to help the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation donate a record 42,000 new coats this year! It’s a sad fact that 1 in 6 children in the Philadelphia area live in poverty. We hope this gift will help their winters be a little warmer and brighter.

Driving Away the Cold has distributed more than 220,000 new coats since 2008 using a network of YMCAs, social service agencies, school districts, homeless shelters and more. Driving Away the Cold is an initiative of the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Philadelphia Auto Show and the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia.

“You can buy a lot of things in life, but you have to earn trust.”

Based on a recent Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Survey, Toyota has been recognized as the most trusted import automaker.

Reader’s Digest asked more than 4,500 Americans to vote for products they trust across 40 categories. Toyota was one of 40 brands picked that deliver quality, value, and reliability. Trust is important according to participants of the survey, because 40 percent of participants say the magazine’s Most Trusted Brand seal would affect their decision to purchase a product.

A funny thing happens when you change the world: People start to notice.

As Toyota readies the Mirai – the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell vehicle – for its launch in California next month, the revolutionary car is gaining a reputation as a product that may propel the world into a new era of alternative fuel.

Today, Toyota earned even more praise for the Mirai, coming in at No. 3 on Fortune Magazine’s Change the World list, which recognizes 51 companies “that have made significant progress in addressing major social problems as a part of their core business strategy.”

In the accompanying article, after praising Toyota’s success with the Prius, Fortune lauds the Mirai.

“In September, Toyota speeds into the unknown once again as it launches the Toyota Mirai, the world’s first mass-produced fuel cell vehicle,” the magazine writes. “Powered by hydrogen and emitting nothing but drops of water, it could be even more eco-friendly than its electric vehicle peers.”

To assemble the list, Fortune asked for recommendations from dozens of business, academic, and nonprofit experts around the world.

Toyota ranks highest of just three automakers on the list. Ford was No. 42, while Chinese automaker BYD came in at No. 15. The only companies ranking ahead of Toyota are Vodafone and Safaricom at No. 1 and Google at No. 2.

On Tuesday, August 18th, Max Paul’s Ardmore Toyota hosted 20 students and 4 volunteers from the Boys & Girls Club of Wissahickon. The itinerary for the students included a tour of the dealership’s facilities which included the sales showroom, service center, accounting, finance, and much more.  Many of the students had never visited a car dealership before and asked many excellent questions about the automotive industry and Toyota.  The age group ranged from 11 to 18 years of age. Ryan Pesin of Ardmore Toyota took the students on the tour of the facilities and afterwards the students learned about the ins and outs of buying a new or used car. Thank you to Toyota Financial Services in the Horsham, PA offices for helping to coordinate a wonderful morning for these students.
