From the beginning, Ardmore Toyota has been more than a car dealership. It all started with a family and a bicycle repair shop in 1905. Max Paul started the shop with the help of his uncle, and Max became known for his masterful mechanic skills. This made him more than capable of running the family auto body shop once his father passed it down to him.
Max and his son, Harry, ran an auto body shop before being approached by the Toyota Motor Corporation in 1968. On February 17, 1969, they unveiled the first Toyota dealership in Philadelphia: Central City Toyota. Since then, they have expanded to Ardmore Toyota, but throughout it all, they stayed true to their family roots.
Max paired the commitment to excellence he had learned as a Marine with his love of his community to establish the beloved dealership group we all know today. It all starts with the car dealer’s service itself. And it’s paid off. Just this year, Ardmore Toyota was recognized as one of the best car dealerships in the U.S. This award was based primarily on customer surveys, showing the value that the Toyota dealership has brought to the community.

They support a variety of nonprofits, including: the Ronald McDonald House Philadelphia, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and more. Most recently, the dealership participated in the Philabundance Food Drive.
