Toyota Safety Sense™ Features
Pre-Collision System
When you approach a vehicle too quickly, the Pre-Collision System warns you of a potential frontal collision. It can sense when you apply the brakes — or if you don’t brake in time — and can apply more force using Brake Assist so your vehicle comes to a stop before an accident occurs.
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
In addition to the Pre-Collision System, Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection more accurately detects when foot traffic crosses in front of your vehicle — from dog walkers to bike riders and everything in between — and alerts you to take action.
Lane Departure Alert
While you cruise the highway at 32 mph or faster, Lane Departure Alert can warn you when your vehicle begins to drift into another lane. When equipped with Steering Assist, your vehicle will automatically provide corrective steering to shift you back into the lane.
Automatic High Beams
When driving at night, Automatic High Beams allow your vehicle to adjust appropriately by detecting the headlights and taillights of vehicles in front of you. If you forget to switch off high beams when an oncoming car approaches, Automatic High Beams does it for you.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Setting your vehicle to cruise control allows you to maintain a constant speed as you drive — with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, your Toyota also adjusts for the changes in speed of the driver ahead of you, without deactivating cruise control. And, if your vehicle senses that you need to slow down, it will alert you with audio and visual signs and even gently apply the brakes.
Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is also available.
New TSS Features
Road Sign Assist
The forward-facing intelligent camera on your Toyota can detect stop signs, speed limit signs, and more — and then display the signs on your Multi-Information Display (MID).
Lane Tracing Assist
When coupled with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist produces a display of the vehicle’s position on the road by detecting the lane markers. The view of your vehicle will appear on the MID.
