On June 4, 2018, the 2018 Hit ‘em for the House Golf Outing, presented by Ron Krancer and family, took place at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. Ardmore Toyota was a proud sponsor of the event — now in its 18th year — which raised over $150,000 for the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House (PRMH).

The daylong event featured a competitive tournament, lunch, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and silent and live auctions. The Youngblood Group won the tourney. Drawing in over 250 attendees, the 2018 Hit ‘em for the House Golf Outing also included a thrilling Helicopter Ball Drop sponsored by Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread. This year’s winner was Bobby Smith.

Check out highlights from the Ball Drop below.

This year’s special guest for the highly anticipated event was Tom Coyne, author of the novels, A Gentleman’s Game, Paper Tiger: An Obsessed Golfer’s Quest to Play with the Pros, and A Course Called Ireland: A Long Walk in Search of a Country, a Pint, and the Next Tee. Coyne is also an assistant professor of English at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Alongside Club House Sponsor, P. Agnes, and Golfer Gift Sponsors, Permalith Plastics, Crowley Chemical, and Rusmar Foam Technologies, Ardmore Toyota helped support the PRMH at the event as part of our dedication to community involvement. We donated a Hole in One on four holes at Huntingdon Valley’s prestigious golf course.

About PRMH

Cofounded by Audrey Evans and Jimmy Murray in 1974, PRMH is the world’s first Ronald McDonald House. With two Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and a Ronald McDonald Camp, the organization helps nurture a community centered on comfort and hope to support families of seriously ill children.
