You know about oil changes, you know about rotating tires … but you have you forgotten the first, most basic car maintenance step?

Reading the manual!

Most car manuals are stowed in the glove box, and you should re-familiarize yourself with it a few times a year. With recent changes in technology your car may have options you don’t know about, or you may learn a way of operating it more efficiently. For example, since the advent of the airbag many manuals suggest that you drive with your hands at “4” and “8” instead of the old “10” and “2”.

Read the manual to make the most of your car. If it’s missing, ask your dealer for a replacement.
