Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway Here at Ardmore Toyota, we know we’re immensely lucky to have the great gift of being a trusted source for buying and servicing vehicles in Ardmore, PA. This holiday season, we wanted to give back to that community, which is why we joined Walnut Hill Neighbors, The Enterprise Center, and Central City Toyota in helping to make sure those in need in Ardmore have enough this Thanksgiving. On November 22 nd, 2021, we got together at Max Paul Park (4610 Market Street) and helped to give out Thanksgiving meals to over 300 families. Each family was given a turkey and a variety of different sides and desserts to ensure they had plenty to eat. We are very thankful for all that we have this year and are honored to join other members of the community in giving back. Providing affordable transportation is not the only way we give back to the Philadelphia community. Ardmore Toyota is active in community donations, fundraisers and other goodwill events and proudly sponsors a number of charitable organizations in the greater Philadelphia area. Learn about just some of the ways we serve our community below. Community Donations Among our most recent community donations took place on Oct. 6, 2020 as we supported the Lower Merion Police Department with the National Night Out Drive Thru. We loaded up a Toyota Tacoma full of boxes of food to be delivered to ElderNet of Lower Merion and the Narberth Community Food Bank. ElderNet provides a variety of free healthcare and food security services to improve the quality of life for older and disabled neighbors with low to moderate incomes. The Narberth Community Food Bank provides food assistance for residents of the Narberth and Lower Merion communities who are in need. We also recently made a donation to support the publishing of a children’s book written by a former employee that promotes improved relationships between police and the communities they serve. Other community donations have included food drives, winter coat drives and more. Additional Community Engagement Ardmore Toyota is a past recipient of the Shining Star Award, which recognizes persons, businesses, and organizations who leave positive impressions on the community. Just a few of our many recent initiatives include: Hosting local leaders to celebrate Women’s Day as part of Press for Progress. Hosting an annual Christmas celebration that provides presents, prizes, and refreshments for area residents. Operating our annual Driving Away The Cold program that provides winter coats for underprivileged youth. Supporting the Katie At The Bat Team, which empowers young girls in underserved areas of Philadelphia by helping them participate in sports, education, leadership training, and character development. We also like to show our support simply by building and maintaining awareness about upcoming events and happenings near Philadelphia. What: A local favorite amongst the foodies and shoppers of Ardmore, PA, is the annual Taste of Ardmore fundraiser. For this event, the Ardmore Initiative plays host to a multitude of exciting local restaurants, tasty microbrews, artisan spirits, and enticing pop-up shops in a one-night event for those 21 and older. Guests are invited to taste dishes and beverages sourced from the finest chefs, brewers, and distillers Ardmore has to offer. There is no shortage of shopping, either, as multiple retailers set up stands and miniature storefronts to display their merchandise. To top it all off, a raffle is held at the end of the night that gives guests the opportunity to win gift certificates from the very restaurants they sampled, exciting goods from featured retailers, and one-of-a-kind experiences in and around Ardmore, PA. Ardmore Restaurant Week When: Official Dates TBD What: Ardmore’s Restaurant Week is a treasured time of the year for restaurant owners and food lovers alike. Culinary connoisseurs can experience lunch or a three-course dinner at their favorite Ardmore establishment or discover new fare at an up-and-coming restaurant on the Main Line. While the dates for this year’s event have yet to be announced, you can visit Destination Ardmore’s website and view the restaurants and their fixed price menus from 2018’s Restaurant Week. Gallery Showing: Inhabited When: May 1 — June 30, 2019, 12:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. What: Inhabited is a themed exhibition focusing on natural, man-made, and fantastical landscapes. By supporting this event, you’ll be helping the non-profit land conservation organization Natural Lands. All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to their organization to help their cause. Visit Black Moth Tattoo and Gallery Tuesday through Sunday every week during the specified dates to view the enchanting artwork on display created by these brilliant featured artists: Mary Brady Begnardi, Russell Brodie, Jean Burdick, Suzanne Francis, Paul Gallo, Sandra Hoffman, Stefanie Lieberman, John Pompeo, Alex Ramos, Kerry Sacco, Sharon Strasburg, and Ella Yang.
