Overview
The 2010 Toyota Camry is the seventh-generation mid-size Camry. It has been the best-selling passenger car in America for seven years running till date and also for 11 of the last 12 years. It continues to redefine standards for performance and comfort. For 2010, it gets several enhancements in exterior styling and additional interior features for convenience, audio, and safety. The Camry is offered in both petrol and hybrid versions.
Powertrain And Performance
The 2010 Toyota Camry base, LE, and XLE trim levels boast a new 169-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The higher SE trim comes with the same engine but delivers 179 horsepower. The engine can be paired with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox with sequential shift. To derive more performance, the Camry can be equipped with the available 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 268 horsepower.
Build And Styling
Visual design changes on the exterior include a new front bumper and grille; restyled tail lights; an enlarged lower intake and larger projector headlamps. The base and LE trims get redesigned wheel covers. The XLE sports standard 16-inch alloy wheels, while the SE adds new 17-inch sporty alloy wheels.
Inside, the Camry Hybrid model adds a newly-designed meter cluster and seats come with Fraichir which is a combination of silk protein and synthetic fibers. The base and LE trim levels can be loaded with an updated music system that includes a new USB Port for auxiliary music sources and Bluetooth to connect compatible devices.
Safety Features
Vehicle stability control and traction control are now standard features on all Camry models. The 2010 Toyota Camry gets abundant safety gadgets such as dual frontal airbags; driver's knee airbag; front and rear row side curtain airbags; front row torso side airbags; and ABS with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution; auto up/down power windows with jam protection on all four doors; and tire pressure monitoring system.
