2018 Toyota Camry

Are You Ready for the 2018 Camry?

Toyota's classic midsize entry, the Camry, is all-new for the 2018 model year. This marks the start of the eighth-generation Camry, and the design is more forward-thinking than ever before, both in terms of aesthetics and the onboard technology.

Trim Levels (Exterior)

2018 Camry at Ardmore Toyota With just a look at the exterior, it's easy to tell that the 2018 Camry is a different kind of sedan. The front fascia embraces the wide-open grille of the modern Toyota design, and the headlight enclosures are more streamlined than ever. The sporty SE and XSE models add to that with an even more aggressive design than the basic LE and XLE trims, especially on the front bumper and rocker panels. The new Camry also lowers the passengers and the roof to give it a sleeker design and a lower center of gravity.

Engine (Power)

2018 Camry at Ardmore Toyota The 2018 Toyota Camry offers three engine options: a basic 2.5-liter I4, a more potent 3.5-liter V-6 with fuel injection, and a hybrid option that uses the second-generation Toyota Hybrid System. The two gasoline engines will connect to the front wheels with a new eight-speed transmission that only recently debuted on the Highlander and Sienna, but the hybrid models will use a CVT. However, the CVT has a few surprises of its own, including a Sport Mode switch that lets you prioritize performance as well as paddle shifters on the SE trim that give you the sense of controlling a six-speed automatic.

Performance

The lower profile and center of gravity give the new Camry better fuel efficiency and better handling, and the new engines offer more power than ever. The Camry's frame incorporates extra high-tensile-strength steel to make it more rigid, and a new double-wishbone suspension lets the sedan offer both improved control and a smoother ride than the seventh-generation model could.

Interior

2018 Camry at Ardmore Toyota The 2018 Camry is the first car to come with Toyota's brand-new Entune version 3.0. Not only that, but Entune 3 is standard on every model. This infotainment system provides every driver with a navigation system and the Entune App Suite, but the models with V-6 engines will still get the better deal with a Dynamic Navigation program that updates as roads and points of interest change. Even the JBL premium audio system has a few enhancements over the 2017 model, with speakers placed directly in front of passengers as well as a new 10.1-inch subwoofer.

Safety Features

2018 Camry at Ardmore Toyota What would a Toyota car be without safety features? The 2018 Camry has 10 air bags and standard Toyota Safety Sense. This means the Camry's standard features include driver assistance systems like the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Automatic High Beams. And if that's not enough, Toyota also offers available safety features like a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, and a Bird's Eye View Camera.
